Platform Game Design, 4th-8th

In the Smithsonian’s Advanced Video Game Design Camp, the students create simulated gravity using x and y coordinates and make platform-style games. This means the player needs a floor and progresses through a level by jumping and running. On this level, students create moving enemies, collectibles, lives, hazards, AI, and other tough programming concepts. Students on this level have more control of the game structure and work  mostly with the game cards instead of a tutorial.
