About AIL

Art Invention Lab is a collective of independently made teaching resources and student work from my practices as an Art and STEAM educator in Virginia. I work with a wide range of students (ages 5-14) creating projects that cross disciplines and exposes students to a multitude of mediums, technology, and ideas.

I’ve been teaching K-6 STEAM full-time since 2021, but my work with STEAM curriculum began in 2014 while teaching art. I received my Masters of Education in Teaching and Learning from Clemson University, with an additional graduate certificate in STEAM- and I would highly recommend that online program to anyone.

The collection here is for community share of work, progress, ideas, stories, solutions, inventions, curiosities, experiments, and explorations. What we create may not always be formal fine art, but we actively learn through creation in every session.

The site is a work in progress. I invite any teachers who would like to know more about materials, lessons, or projects viewed on this site to contact me, either in comments or by email artinventionlab(at sign)gmail.com
